Printing and wine

Been busy since I’ve gotten back from TypeCon 2010, so I’m only now slowly going thru photos.

For the TypeCon afterparty at The International Printing Museum, one of my little design touches was bottles of California Typographic Wine; which came in four varieties: Oldstyle, Transitional, Modern and Sans.

Labels were printed on a fabric stock by Hal Hammond – and helping me with the whole vin production were Lucy Schallberger, Jon Coltz, Delve Withrington and (pictured below) Angela Glenn.

Because NBC is really good at canceling all the good shows.

These days, I’m really missing Brandon Tartikoff. He was incredible at giving low rated/great shows a chance.

Stand Up today

Humans do this thing. If we don’t understand something, or believe something is different – the first step is ridicule. Then make it go away. Sometimes on a huge scale.

And the gay community has been putting up with a lot of shit for a helluva long time. Today’s purple wearing is about saying the rest of us are sick of it too.

On a somewhat related note, I’m really looking forward to tonight’s Project Runway – where Michael forgoes working on his final collection and instead spends all his time carefully plotting out and exacting an unexpected, ironically embarrassing revenge for Ivy.

While at the same time, Ivy is plotting out and exacting a vicious, ill-conceived embarrassing revenge for Michael.

Should it end any other way – ?
