Centre of the Earth

Part one

‘Found Rick Wakeman’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth on Itunes. Renfair geekrock at its finest. Oh yeah! I need a cape & winged boots.’ –CraigyFerg

Progressive Rock pioneer, Minimoog, mellotron, biotron, synth and Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman goes to excess. But that’s what Progressive Rock is all about anyway.

Cool concept albums include: The Six Wives of Henry VIII (1973), Journey to the Centre of the Earth (1974) and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table (1975).

Posted (above and below, in five parts): Fan-produced, redited video of a complete 1974 concert mixed with text from the Jules Verne novel and footage from the 1959 film version of Journey to the Center of the Earth.
