So while I’m still in seafood mode, I should mention my absolute favorite food is Dungeness Crab.

I grew up eating these west coast crustaceans, dusted with Old Bay seasoning, partnered with slabs of sourdough bread. All I need is a small fork and I can get thru the whole thing in under an hour – no cracking necessary. The obsessive trick is to get every single piece out intact – and dip it in melted butter.

Saw this shirt in Old Navy; but alas, not available as a men’s tee.

Another highlight from this season’s Project Runway is Colorado-based fashion designer Julie Tierney.

I love how Julie’s design inspiration comes from multiple, multiple sources – which she then takes to another place – familiar, dramatic and  . . .  layered.

Below, chronological images from her 2010 Nomad’s Land collection; starting with pages from her inspiration book thru to the runway.

A direct interpretation of Nomadic life would be a bit obvious – but this goes elsewhere. Julie doesn’t make obvious. Genghis Khan with tube socks and a snowboard. Then Julie.
