More Star Wars stuff. <\/p>\n

No one <\/em>saw Star Wars coming. And the networks had to get something – a knock off, anything<\/em> – on the air as fast as they could. A small pilot at NBC – from Get Smart<\/a> co-creator Buck Henry – became a series, February 1978.<\/p>\n

Heavily promoted as a Star Wars spoof, Quark<\/a> starred Richard Benjamin, blonde twins<\/del> clones from the Doublemint<\/a> commercials and it had a character named Ficus,<\/em> who was not human, but a plant. Made me wonder if there were actually people in life who were plants. <\/p>\n
