If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll have noticed that I really enjoyed this British import that found her way to MTV last year.

Unfortunately, MTV didn’t know what the hell to do with Alexa Chung. (She recently, came clean with her take on what went wrong with her MTV show.) She’s smart, funny and today is still working on conquering the US – one way or another.

show must go on

Though, this is a step back in a US overthrow, Alexa has a new program, Frock Me on UK Channel 4. Can’t watch it here in America, but little bits have been showing up on YouTube (such as the two posted above). The format seems better suited to Alexa, whose sarcasm is subtle, sneaky (and goofy).

She’s still in NYC (refused to move back to London for the program) and has a fashion line coming out from Madewell this fall. Video below:

Also making the rounds is Ctrl.Alt.Shift’s limited edition journal to aid youth charity. Cover illustrations by Alexa (below). Details here.

Smart Brits can confound in the US.

It even looked like Jamie Oliver’s extremely necessary Food Revolution was falling under the weight of American bureaucracy by season’s end.

But here’s an update from the man, just posted today.

I’m really hoping this whole Proud-to-Be-Dumb trend is on its last leg.

Really, really hoping.
